William Mould was born 19 February 1812 in Washington, Co. Durham, England, and christened at Washington Holy Trinity on 6 September 1812, the second son of William Mould, son of William Mould, Native of Lamesley, by his wife Ann Porter, daughter of John Porter, Native of Whickham (from the Bishop’s Transcripts of Holy Trinity, Washington).

 

William married Isabella Robinson of Embleton, Northumberland in 1847.

 

William, a miner, and Isabella had one child:

 

·              Elizabeth Ann Mould born about 1849 at Rennington, Northumberland married William Duncan (born 22 August 1845 in Penshaw, Co. Durham, the son of George Duncan and Margaret Nicholson) on 31 July 1869 at the Register Office, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Elizabeth Ann and William, an innkeeper, were the parents of: 

 

·        Margaret Duncan born about 1872 at White Mare Pool, Co. Durham;

·        Isabella Duncan born about 1873 at Boldon, Co Durham;

·        William Mould Duncan born about 1875 at Boldon married Elizabeth Taylor on 21 March 1896 at the Register Office, Gateshead, Co. Durham;

·        Mary Ann Duncan born about 1877 at Boldon;

·        Anna Duncan born about 1879 at Boldon; and

·        Ethel Duncan born about 1885 at Boldon;

 

Isabella Mould nee Robinson died in Usworth, Co. Durham and was buried at Holy Trinity, Usworth on 4 September 1866, aged 57 years.

 

William Mould died at White Mare Pool, Co. Durham and was buried at Holy Trinity, Usworth on 12 December 1886, aged 74 years.
