William Cleugh Mould & Mary Scott

 

 

 

 

William Cleugh Mould was born on 12 March 1852 in North Shields, Northumberland, England, and christened 18 April 1852 at Christ Church, Tynemouth, the eldest child of Nicholas Mould and Rachel Rutherford.

 

William Cleugh married Mary Scott of North Shields in 1873 in Tynemouth.

 

William Cleugh, a schoolteacher, and Mary were the parents of:

 

·              Annie Mould born in 1874 in Deptford, Kent;

 

·              Rachel Mould (twin) born in 1875 in Deptford, Kent;

 

·              Georgina Mould (twin) born in 1875 in Deptford, Kent married Charles Edward S Marwick in 1894 in Tynemouth, Northumberland. Georgina and Charles, a clerk, were the parents of two known children born prior to the 1901 Census:

 

·              Elsie Marwick born in 1895 in North Shields; and

·              Charles Marwick born in 1898 in North Shields.

 

·              Marie Mould born in 1878 in Brockley, Kent; and

 

·              William Adolphus Mould born in 1879 in Brockley, Kent married Elizabeth Thompson in 1899 in Tynemouth. William Adolphus, an auctioneer’s clerk, and Elizabeth were the parents of one known child born prior to the 1901 Census:

 

·              Emma Elizabeth Thompson Mould born in 1900 in North Shields.

 

William Cleugh Mould died in St Paul’s, Deptford in 1891, aged 38 years, after which Mary Mould nee Scott returned with their children to North Shields, Northumberland.
